My Special Considerations

*Bluff is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. He is currently in isolation for being sick and he is becoming very anxious. He is heavy panting, high pitch whining, restless and cage fighting with his neighbors constantly. He is now starting to cause self injury due to his anxious behaviors. Staff members have moved him to an end kennel away from neighbors to help him decompress and he is starting to show improvements. He seeks constant attention from staff and allows all handling. He is very treat motivated and knows sit and down. *Bluff would benefit being in a loving home to help him decompress from the stressful shelter environment. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.

UPDATE: This animal has shown improvement and is responding to interventions provided. The commitment date has been removed for now however this animal would still benefit from foster, rescue, or adoption.
