Hi, my name is BURNER
Burner is a 7-year-old sweetheart, who is longing for the good life. Recently, he got a much-needed break from the shelter and went on a foster field trip to Red Rock Canyon—and he absolutely lit up. He adored every moment of the hike and soaked in all the great outdoors had to offer.
Whether he’s wading through a creek, soaking up attention from new friends, or being cradled like a baby (yes, all 60 lbs of him—he’s just a 7 year old baby!), Burner thrives on human connection. He’s a big softie who wants nothing more than to be your one-and-only, showered with love and quality time.
His amazing field trip foster gave him a bath and spoiled him with treats, which he thoroughly enjoyed. But sadly, the shelter life has been tough. The loud barking, confinement, and overstimulation are wearing on him, and it shows. He’s not thriving in this environment.
During his field trip, his foster did notice that Burner showed some reactivity toward other dogs. Staff has noted this as well. It’s important to remember that prolonged stress and shelter life can heighten these behaviors. What Burner truly needs is a calm, patient home where he can decompress, reset, and feel safe again.
He would do best in a peaceful environment. With consistency, gentle guidance, and love, Burner is sure to blossom. Like all dogs, he’ll benefit from training and structure to help him feel confident and secure.
This handsome boy is endlessly curious and loves to sniff and explore the world around him. He’s got a good amount of energy and would thrive with daily walks and the occasional adventure. He can pull occasionally on leash, so a confident handler will help him shine—but honestly, he’s just eager to live, learn, and love.
