Hi, my name is UZI
Notes from a volunteer about Uzi:
Uzi is a newcomer to the shelter, and she’s as lovable as a manatee—gentle, round, and slow-moving in the most endearing way.
On her first walk around the shelter grounds, she showed just how brave she is. Though the shelter environment is scary for her, she’s doing her best to adjust. At first, she was hesitant to leave her kennel, but with a little encouragement, she took those first steps—and from there, her confidence slowly started to grow.
As she explored, she became more curious, sniffing around and taking in the world at her own pace. Daily walks would be wonderful for her—not only to build her confidence but also to help her get down to a healthy weight.
Once Uzi felt comfortable, she revealed her affectionate side, seeking out love and attention. She truly is a sweetheart, and she deserves a quiet, loving home where she can decompress and thrive.
If you're looking for a loyal companion to nurture and adore, Uzi might just be the perfect match for you. Could you be the one to give Uzi the second chance she deserves?
My Special Considerations
Uzi has been in our care since 02/04/2025 and would love to spend time in a foster home to get a break from the shelter environment. Come meet her today and take her home for the day, a week, a month, or forever!
