Hi, my name is REX
Here's what our volunteer had to say about Rex:
Rex was slightly nervous when we started our walk (it must have been one of his first walks here at the shelter). But as soon as I brought the treats out, he perked up! His front paws would tippy tap with excitement as he waited for the treats. Sometimes he’ll just sit there looking at you and, if you’re lucky enough, you’ll see his bottom teeth peek out and it’s just so adorable!
Rex really took his time walking through and exploring the shelter grounds. That was his mission for the day and we sure did succeed in getting out and about!
He’s a good boy and I hope this post will help get him some visibility. He’s building his confidence while he’s at the shelter – which is hard for the dogs to do here. That’s why it was important for Rex to get out for a walk today, enjoy the sunshine, and get some fresh air.
Come by to meet this handsome boy!
My Special Considerations
Rex is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
