*CHEESESTIX

Hi, my name is *CHEESESTIX

Meet Cheesestix, a gentle soul with a heart of gold. He may be shy at first, but with time and patience, he'll blossom into a loving companion.

While his name might suggest a cheesy personality, don't let it fool you! He's a true carnivore who prefers the taste of meat, especially beef jerky. Once he realized he could trust you, Cheesestix was surprisingly easy to leash and walks well on a leash, making him a fantastic walking buddy. He's also a great TV buddy, enjoying watching the world go by. Don't let this wonderful boy slip away! Come and meet Cheesestix today and discover the love he has to offer.

My Special Considerations

Cheesestix is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of fear and kennel distress. Cheesestix is a very nervous boy here at the shelter. In the kennel, he is quiet, but will approach and sniff curiously. When staff opened the kennel, he backed away and was avoiding the leash. Staff was able to get the leash on him and take out of the kennel. He was attempting to hide and averting gaze. Tolerated all handling, but did not seek attention or comfort from staff. When returned to the kennel, he became tense and would back away. When staff offered their hand again, he would slowly approach and give kisses, but would become watchful of staff's movements. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes.
