Adoption Search
Hi, my name is PUA
Pua, a sweet and shy puppy, blossoms into a loveable bundle of joy. Once she warms up, she showers you with kisses and enjoys cuddling by your side. A gentle walker on a leash, Pua is a true gem. Come meet this adorable pup today!
My Special Considerations
Pua is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of fear and kennel distress. Pua is a very nervous girl that had very little socializing. At the shelter, she growls and avoids, but staff has been able to leash and take out of the kennel. Pua does warm up after some time outside of the kennel. Her growling, avoiding, and cowering in the kennel turns adopters off from meeting her. Once Pua knows you and is comfortable with you, she seeks attention and is silly and playful. She is a playgroup candidate and does well with other fearful pups. Although she is warming up and becomes such a wiggly loving dog she is starting to have anxious behaviors in her kennel. She is jumping up high up and is starting to bite on the kennel bars out of frustration. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes.
Pua has been diagnosed with infectious respiratory disease (IRD) and will need to be isolated from other dogs until 11/27. She will also need oral medications during this period.
