My Special Considerations

Birch is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of extreme fear. Birch has not shown much progress. He is still avoiding staff when getting to close. He needs to be in a home where he can decompress. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes.

UPDATE : 10/18/24 06:47 Birch is slowly coming around, he will not go up to staff and seeks attention. But he is curious and is giving small chirps.

UPDATE: 10/23/24 14:01 Birch is now approaching staff. He allows all handling but can be jumpy to sudden noises.
