COCO

Hi, my name is COCO

f you're looking to adopt a snuggle bug, then look no further than Coco! Here are some of observations from Coco's foster mom:

Behavior inside the house:
Coco is a super calm dog in the house and easy to manage. It seems like he generally listens to my commands, and he's basically coming into your home fully house trained. He is already crate trained and potty trained -- no accidents in the house, and can be crated for 8 hours at a time! You're not going to have trouble getting him settled as he will willingly go into his crate, is mellow, and non-destructive in the house.

Energy level:
He's got the perfect amount of energy in him. Even though he's generally a calm dog, he still gets the zoomies, still gets excited for car rides, and still looks forward to his walks...which he absolutely loves. All he wants are snuggles, pets, and a nap buddy. He actually doesn't require much attention from you, but will happily accept it! (He might need a little management/training on-leash as he gets excited when he sees other dogs on our walks, but that's about it!)

Other notes:
Coco seems to be dog friendly, however I have been keeping him separate from my dog so that everyone stays safe. Coco does well with the crate and rotate routine in the foster home and does not get over-stimulated by my dog's presence, who is crated about 6 ft away from Coco's crate. While Coco seems eager to engage, I know my dog is selective and needs time to get used to a new dog in the household. If you have other dogs at home, I would recommend not only initially separating the dogs (i.e. crate and rotate), but also pack walks, where each dog has their own handler, but they go on walks together with some distance in between them. Again, this allows for a safe and successful integration process, so the dogs can co-exist in the long run.

Lastly, Coco is what they call a senior dog, but please don't let that deter you from considering him for adoption. If you are looking for a semi-active dog, but don't want to dedicate much time to training, then Coco might just be the one for you!
