Hi, my name is *BRAVE HEART
Brave Heart is trying really hard to live up to his name, but he desperately needs a sidekick to support him! While he's scared and anxious in the shelter, Brave Heart is a wonderful boy that takes a little time to warm up to new people. He quickly saddles up to your side, looking for reassurance while he assesses his surroundings. He seems to have a playful, active side just under the surface but having been in the world as a stray to living in the shelter, Brave Heart just craves stability and a bond with his human to help his brave heart burst through its scared shell. Brave Heart is about 3 years old - a great age for learning new things and having the impulse control of a grown-up dog. He's available for foster and adoption so head down and meet him!
My Special Considerations
Brave Heart is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. When he first arrived to the shelter he showed fearful behaviors including heavy panting, hiding in the backyard, and avoiding. Now, he is showing anxious behaviors like wall rebounding, jumping, drooling, and tracking feces throughout the kennel. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
