Hi, my name is *ELI FENT
The Animal Foundation Team is getting to know me.
My Special Considerations
*Eli Fent is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of fear and kennel distress. *Eli Fent is unsure of the world. He is potentially blind and deaf. When touching his ears, he does get a little tense and flinchy. In the kennel, he is very nervous and unsure. Tolerated most handling, but does not seek attention from staff. He is now showing anxious behaviors including barking at the kennel door repeatedly and headbutting the door repeatedly. He is at risk of injuring himself. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes. Eli Fent needs placement by 5/10.
*Eli Fent came into the shelter with A1314162 - Fanta. Fanta and Eli Fent seem to get along really well. Eli Fent seems to rely on Fanta her for support due to his vision and hearing issues. They were both on a resent field trip together and did great. They love to give each other kisses. They did really well on the leash and seemed more relaxed together outside of the shelter setting. However, they are not doing well being housed together in the stressful shelter environment. When overstimulated, they redirect on each other. They have not fought or caused injury to each other.
Please consider accepting both into your home or your rescue organization. We recommend these animals go to a home, foster, or rescue together but it is not required. This animal needs placement by 5/10.
