MEMPHIS

Hi, my name is MEMPHIS

Looking for a sweet, playful, and affectionate companion? Memphis might be your perfect match.

The first time we met, she stood up on her hind legs just to give me a hug—that’s the kind of lovebug she is. Memphis adores people, greeting everyone with tail wags, gentle nuzzles, and requests for pets. She’s social, friendly, and happy around her people.

She’s quickly become a favorite among staff and volunteers, and it’s easy to see why: she’s just a genuinely good girl with a big heart and gentle soul.

On top of her loving personality, Memphis is absolutely stunning—a gorgeous brindle beauty with soulful eyes and a constantly wagging tail. She's as pretty as she is sweet.

Memphis is also a total ball dog—she lives for the squeaky ball and will gently drop it at your feet, ready for round two (or ten!) of fetch. She’s a playgroup participant and did great with other dogs.

Memphis is not thriving in the shelter. The loud, chaotic environment is overwhelming for her, and she’s showing signs of fear and kennel distress. Outside the kennel, she truly shines—but she needs a calm, loving home where she can decompress and adjust at her own pace.

Memphis is ready to leave the shelter behind and start her next chapter with you. Could you be her safe place? She’s still a youngin’ at 2-3 years old and is already spayed, so she can go home with you today!

My Special Considerations

Memphis is not adapting well in a kennel at the shelter and is exhibiting barrier frustration towards team members and other stimuli. She is know working with our training team to work through her frustrations, leash manners and basic obedience. She is a playgroup candidate that enjoys gentle and dainty play. Staff is able to leash her and take her out for walks but she does take some time to warm up to staff. She already sits for treats so continued training outside of the shelter should be a breeze! This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and kenneling.
