My Special Considerations

Kira is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of extreme fear. Kira is not making much progress here at the shelter. She is constantly trembling and avoiding. Kira is now starting to become a little bit more curious with staff. Although she is scared she will reach out when cat nip and treats are offered. She will avoid when staff attempts to handle but within a few minutes and lots of treats she starts to warm up and allow all handling with out avoiding. She is hesitant to trust but with time and patience we believe she can open up. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes.
