HONEY BEE

Hi, my name is HONEY BEE

I'm currently relaxing in foster care, and loving it!! Here's what my foster family had to say about my time in foster care!

"Honey’s photos don’t quite capture how stunning she is in person. If you’re looking for a dog who will make you the center of her world, she’s the one. She loves to cuddle and stay close, but after about a week, she’ll gain a bit more independence while still keeping you in her sight. She’s fully house-trained—after a couple of initial accidents while we were figuring out her signals, I learned that whining means she needs to go out. Now, she’s accident-free and even uses the doggy door on her own, though I also let her out if she whines to make sure she’s got the routine down for a home without one."

"Honey loves toys! She’s playful and will happily engage with you—whether it’s running around with a toy, dropping it at your feet, or tossing it in the air for a solo game of fetch. Her zoomies are adorable. She’s great with other dogs, playful but also still learning “no thank you” cues (still puppy in her) I have two older dogs; one still likes to play, while the other prefers to be left alone, and Honey adjusts beautifully to both."

"She’s well-trained but could use a little more practice to perfect her manners. She knows a range of commands and has shown good progress with leash training. Her desire to please is strong, and she responds well to both affection and food rewards. I haven’t seen any chewing or destructive behavior, and she’s always excited to meet new people."

If you would like to learn more about me, or are interested in adopting me, please contact the foster team at foster@animalfoundation.com! Please make sure to tell the foster team that you give permission for your contact information to be shared with the foster family!

My Special Considerations

*Iris is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of fear and kennel distress. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes.
