Hi, my name is PETUNIA
Petunia recently went on a Foster Field Trip, here's what the foster had to say-
"If you’re looking for an EASY dog who will make a great companion and is simply happy to be with you, Petunia could be your soulmate dog! She’s a laid-back, low-maintenance little lady who will drop into your routine with ease. What does Petunia want from her perfect match? Pets, head scratches, a few good snuggles, some short walks, and a cozy place to rest her head.
I was lucky to take Petunia on a field trip for the week, and here’s what I learned about her:
She’s a gentle, sweet, quiet girl. She was a bit shy and nervous at the shelter, but she warmed up quickly. She was soon giving me kisses, asking for pets, and doing cute little hops when she got excited.
She didn’t bark or make any noise while on our field trip. The only noise I heard from her was a little grunt when she wanted her food bowl filled.
She liked being near me in the house and enjoyed a good snuggle, but she wasn’t needy. Sometimes she went off on her own to nap.
She’s a pretty low-energy gal. She enjoyed being my sidekick on errands and going for short walks (and didn’t pull on the leash at all). But she didn’t need much and was happy to lay next to me on the couch or on her dog bed.
She’s fully house trained. She had no accidents in the house, and pottied right away when we went outside. I’m in the process of packing to move, and there was plenty for her to potentially get into. She didn’t care about any of it. She left everything alone and only paid attention to things meant for her. She showed no destructive tendencies.
She showed no signs of separation anxiety. I was able to leave her alone in the house, free-roaming, and she had no issues. She would find a spot to take a nap and snooze until I got home.
She was a great passenger in the car. At first, she was a bit nervous to get in and needed a little boost. But in no time, she realized car rides are exciting, and she was eager to head out with me.
She did well with grooming. She seemed to really enjoy being brushed. I gave her a bath, and although she was nervous in the bath, she accepted all handling and didn’t even mind when I cleaned between her little toes. I took her to Petsmart to get her nails trimmed, and the groomer reported that she did great there too.
I honestly can’t think of one negative thing about this girl! She’s a wonderful dog and a wonderful companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, easy-going BFF, please ask to meet her. You won’t regret adopting Petunia!"
