Hi, my name is SKYE
The Animal Foundation Team is getting to know me.
My Special Considerations
Skye is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of fear and kennel distress. She is avoiding, tense, lip licking, whale eyed, and tail tucked in her kennel. She walks very well on leash and she knows sit. With time and patience, Skye allows all handling. She requires a slower approach and patience. She is shut down in her kennel and showing severe kennel stress. She needs a quiet place to blossom into the great dog she is. She seems curious in new people but is hesitant to approach. When people approach too quickly, she hard barks and growls, but warms up with time and treats. She may be more fearful of men than women but male team members have been able to handle her when going slow. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes. This animal needs placement by 7/18 at 3 PM.
