Employment

The Animal Foundation made a difference in the Las Vegas community by saving the lives of over 20,000 lost, abandoned, and homeless animals last year.

This was made possible by the combination of individual talent and great teamwork, which is why one of our most important investments is our employees.

Become part of our “All of Us for All of Them” initiative!

At the Animal Foundation, you will work for the largest single-site animal shelter in America with some of the country’s most talented animal health, welfare, and business professionals. Together, we are shaping the future of animal welfare in the Las Vegas valley and working to save all healthy and treatable animals who come into our care by the end of 2020.

We are seeking candidates who are solution-driven, demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills and have the ability to work both in a team environment and independently with a high degree of integrity and accountability. Right now, with our new veterinary hospital set to open in June 2019, we have an urgent need for veterinary professionals, including:

  •  Veterinary Assistants
  •  Veterinarians
  •  Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT)
  • Licensed Veterinary Technicians in Training (LVTIT)

If you are flexible, compassionate toward both people and animals, and are driven to consistently do your best, you may have what it takes to become a team member at The Animal Foundation.

Work-Life Balance

We believe that quality time outside of work is vital to satisfaction at work. That’s why our PTO (paid time off) plan gives full-time employees the flexibility to take time off when they need it most. This helps our employees come back refreshed and ready to continue helping us to achieve our mission.

Blessed Are the Flexible, for They Will Not Be Bent Out of Shape

Charles Darwin said, “The most important factor in survival is neither intelligence or strength, but adaptability.” We believe that to thrive we must be flexible. At the Animal Foundation, this means being willing, open-minded, adaptable, and resilient.

Communication Is Not a 2-Way Street, It’s a 6-Lane Highway

There is no such thing as over-communicating. Every team member needs to be able to make informed decisions. It is everyone’s responsibility to consciously engage in effective communications.
