Admissions by Appointment

The Animal Foundation is committed to Mission: Possible 2020, our strategic initiative to save the lives of all healthy and treatable animals who enter our care by the year 2020.

To achieve Mission: Possible 2020, we are determined to find forever homes for more homeless animals while also keeping pets in their homes whenever possible and appropriate.

Admissions by Appointment, one component of our Keeping Every Person and Pet Together (KEPPT) program, is a key piece in this strategic vision. The industry-leading admissions program will allow each animal surrendered into our care its best chance for success and help staff at The Animal Foundation provide a better customer experience to pet owners facing the difficult decision to surrender a furry family member.

Beginning September 1, 2016, The Animal Foundation will accept owned animals by appointment only.

To make an appointment to surrender an owned animal, contact (702) 955-5910. Appointments will be available between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Our KEPPT Coordinator will work closely with you to determine possible alternatives and schedule a future appointment for you and your pet.

Please bring valid ID and a $10 surrender fee (cash, Visa or Mastercard only).

The Animal Foundation makes every effort to place healthy, friendly animals into loving forever homes. However, we cannot guarantee the placement of your surrendered pet. The placement of an individual dog, cat or other animal for adoption at our shelter is based on a thorough evaluation of his or her health and temperament.
