ROYAL

Hi, my name is ROYAL

Meet Royal – The Goofy Prince of Playtime!

Once a shy little guy with a hesistent, shy side, Royal has blossomed into the life of the party! At just 11 months old, this sweet, silly pup is full of personality, tail wags, and boundless puppy energy. He's the kind of dog who’ll have you laughing every day with his goofy zoomies, love of toys, and impressive fetch skills (seriously, he's a pro!).

Royal is eager to learn and thrives with positive reinforcement—treats and toys are the key to his royal heart! He’s done a complete 180 from his shy beginnings and now lights up when he meets new people. Whether it’s humans or fellow pups, Royal is friendly, playful, and gets along beautifully with others.

This lovable pup is still young and learning, but he's already showing signs of being a loyal, fun, and trainable companion. If you’re looking for a cheerful, cuddly, and sometimes delightfully clumsy best friend, Royal is ready to rule your heart and your home.

Ready to meet your new silly sidekick? Come say hi to Royal—you bring the treats, he’ll bring the joy!

My Special Considerations

Royal is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. He is panting and constantly barking in his kennel, he is also scratching at the door but it is easy to break his focus. He does allow all handling when out of the kennel, he is also a current playgroup candidate. He loves treats and toys. He is smart and eager to learn. He is now showing self injurious behaviors from pacing, jumping, and running back a forth. He has injured his paw, causing himself to bleed. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.

04/30/25 Medical Update: This guy has some abnormal things going on with his eyes (entropion & strabismus) and could benefit for entropion surgery.
