38 dogs taken in from one home
Late last night, we received 39 dogs from one home, including a nursing mom with her four puppies, and four pregnant dogs.
Over the past two days, The Animal Foundation has taken in 338 animals. We now have 853 animals in our care, putting us PAST CRITICAL capacity.
Our kennels are full, and we are now using emergency pop-up kennels to temporarily house dogs in our community center.
We desperately need adopters, fosters, and rescue transfers to help us manage our population and ensure the well-being of our animals and staff. When there are this many dogs so close together, we are at a higher risk of infectious disease.
We have 249 dogs at The Animal Foundation waiting for foster or adoptive homes today. We’re open from 11 to 7.
You can also join us TOMORROW, June 14, from 11 to 7 for an emergency foster event at the shelter. No appointment needed.
Foster a medium or large dog for 2-4 weeks. We provide everything you need, and fostering is FREE!
Fill out a foster application at the link in our bio before you arrive.
If you fall in love with your foster dog, we will waive the adoption fee and process the adoption paperwork remotely.
This is an urgent situation, Las Vegas, and we desperately need your help.
Can’t make it to our emergency foster event on Friday? Visit our foster window in our adoptions building Tuesday through Sunday from 11 to 7. (Closed Mondays)
The 39 dogs taken from one home are not currently available for foster or adoption due to a legal hold pending an Animal Protection Services investigation.
