Found Injured in the Road, Daffodil Needs Your Help

At just five months old, Daffodil has already survived a frightening ordeal. Now, she needs surgery to give her the best chance at a healthy future.
At first, Michelle thought it was a piece of clothing lying in the middle of a busy Las Vegas street.
It was dark. Drivers were passing by. No one stopped.
Except for Michelle.
Driving home from a friend’s house late one night, Michelle turned her car around and pulled over. As she got closer, she realized what she had seen wasn’t clothing at all.
It was a kitten.
At first, Michelle thought the kitten was dead. Then, the tiny kitten lifted her head.
She was alive, but something was very wrong.
Michelle quickly scooped her up and got her safely out of the road. Animal Protection Services Officers brought the injured kitten to The Animal Foundation, where our veterinary team immediately went to work.

Meet Daffodil
At just five months old and weighing only 3.8 pounds, the tiny kitten was terrified, injured, and alone.
We named her Daffodil.
X-rays revealed that Daffodil’s back leg is severely broken. She now needs to see a specialist for surgery. Our hope is that her leg can be repaired, but depending on the extent of her injury, amputation may be the safest option for her.
Despite everything she has been through, Daffodil has been incredibly friendly with our team. She seems to understand that the people around her are trying to help, and she absolutely loves attention.
She was given a chance when Michelle stopped for her that night. Now, we want to make sure she gets the care she needs for what comes next.
