Tweety: Best in Show All Stars

The Dog Who Put the Pieces Back Together
After losing our family dog in a car accident in October 2025, I was left with a sadness I couldn’t fully understand. I wasn’t trying to replace that loss—I just wanted to bring light into the life of a dog who needed it.
That’s when I met Tweety.
She had been in the shelter for four months, struggling with kennel stress. The plan was simple: foster her, give her a break, help her decompress. One week turned into two, then three… and after a month, I couldn’t deny what I had known since day one—I wasn’t letting her go.
Tweety brought meaning to a loss I couldn’t understand. She gave me a purpose I didn’t know I was missing —something to care for, to show up for every day. In return, I watched her come alive. Her happiness became my happiness. Somewhere along the way, we became each other’s light.
She has an infectious joy for life. She loves other dogs and is always ready to make a new friend. A total cuddle bug, she somehow convinces you she belongs on every piece of furniture. Every new toy becomes her greatest treasure before she inevitably hunts down the squeaker. And when you ask her to “speak,” she turns into a drama queen—running and bouncing around before finally giving in.
Because of her, I was inspired to get the Wynn Nightlife volunteer program further involved with The Animal Foundation—adding foster field trips, and supporting events like Best in Show.
Losing one dog broke something in me. Loving her put it back together and I’m forever grateful.
