Last year, we asked for $25 in exchange for a portrait of your beloved pet, drawn by one of our volunteer “artists.” You gave us your trust. We gave you… whatever that was.

And somehow, you wanted more.

So we’re thrilled (and slightly concerned) to announce the third annual Poorly Drawn Pets fundraiser.

Some of our artists may surprise you with their talent. Others haven’t received an art compliment since their mom hung a macaroni masterpiece on the refrigerator in 2003. Either way, you’re guaranteed to receive a one-of-a-kind portrait and help shelter pets in need.

All proceeds benefit the animals at The Animal Foundation.

Last year’s fundraiser sold out, so don’t wait too long to claim your portrait. Submissions open June 23 close July 5!

How It Works

Getting your portrait is easy. The hard part is preparing yourself emotionally for the final result.

Purchase Your Portrait

When submissions open on June 23, make a $25 donation using the button below.

Submit Your Pet

After your purchase, you’ll receive an email with a link to upload a photo of your pet and any notes you’d like to share with your artist.

Each purchase includes one pet portrait. Want portraits of multiple pets? Simply complete a separate purchase for each pet.

Meet the Waiting Room

Once you submit your pet’s photo, it will automatically appear on this page so our artists can find it and begin working on your masterpiece.

Receive Your Portrait

Our artists will spend the next few weeks creating your portrait. All completed portraits will be posted right here on July 29.

All portraits are delivered digitally. No physical portraits will be mailed.

Powered by Good Intentions and Credit One Bank

Poorly Drawn Pets may be fueled by questionable artistic talent, but the impact is very real.

We’re incredibly grateful to Credit One Bank for sponsoring this year’s fundraiser and helping transform delightfully questionable pet portraits into lifesaving care for shelter pets.

This Year’s Muses

These brave pets are currently awaiting their portraits.

Their humans have purchased a Poorly Drawn Pet portrait, and our volunteer artists are hard at work creating something that will be either frame-worthy or deeply confusing.

You’ll notice each title includes the pet’s name followed by their favorite toy or treat. Since there are usually repeat pet names, this information helps our artists keep track of which pet they’re drawing and match finished portraits to the correct submission.

Check back on July 29 to see the completed masterpieces!
