My Special Considerations
This darling puppy is being treated for severe juvenile cellulitis or "puppy strangles". She has severe ulcerations with purulent discharge (pus) around her eyes, ears, and muzzle as well as draining wounds around her neck and hip area with large swollen lymph nodes that are causing her a great deal of discomfort. Additionally, she is also very underweight but seems to have a good appetite despite everything. We have started steroids, antibiotics, and pain management at this time, but she will need ongoing wound care, recheck exams for normal healing, and slow tapering of her steroids as she hopefully starts to improve. Hope is seeking placement by 10/14 at 3pm.
