Every Day Is Winston’s Best Day Ever

Winston (formerly Linus)is our third Boxer but our first rescue! Our last Boxer passed away July 31,2025 at the age of 12. A few months later we began exploring whether we should get a puppy or adopt a Boxer from a shelter. A colleague sent me the Animal Foundation listing for him and I knew he was ours.

The following day we stood in line waiting for AF to open and the second he was in the yard to meet us he jumped up hugging my husband as if to say “I’m picking you to be my dad” Although I was still devastated from losing our boxer in July, I decided to give this adoption a chance.

Winston has opened our hearts in ways we could’ve never imagined. He is so full of love and joy from the minute he wakes up – every day is his best day ever. We know life was not kind to him by the hundreds of scars he has but he has taught us no matter what happens to you, you can still choose to be happy. We are so grateful to Animal Foundation for giving him the chance to be adopted.
