Terk: Best in Show All Stars

The Dog Who Turned Pain Into Joy
I adopted Terk, *Bullet* from the Animal Foundation in 2022. He was 8 years old then. His ears were covered in scabs from flies landing on them over time. He was skinny, already had arthritis in his back legs and all of his teeth are practically shaved down. Even one of his bigger teeth in the front is broken in half. I was told he was an outside dog, lived on a chain and chewed on the chain often. That’s why his teeth are so bad. He came with bad breath and a somewhat grey face but when I saw him, I knew he was mine.
The scars on his face and body showed a rough life with no peace. I didn’t know how long I had with him but I knew I’d make the rest of his days great. I’ve had him almost 4 years now and every day he brings happiness to everyone around him. He has the best smile, even with his bad teeth. He recharges in the sun like any pitty and love company. He would lay in your lap and smile at you all day. He is the most grateful dog. I call him a bucking bronco when it’s time to eat because his whole body bounces around.
All he knows now are warm beds, a full belly and all the love he can get and give. Rescue dogs are so special and I’m happy to have found him at the animal foundation!
