Get Ready for Kitten Season with Chloe Koast

Kitten season begins in Southern Nevada; How to become a foster!

ARC Las Vegas
We’re at the start of kitten season here in Southern Nevada as temperatures climb. It’s also the time of the year when The Animal Foundation sees an influx of kittens in its kitten nursery and volunteers are needed to help take care of these small felines. So, they want you to join their The Itty Bitty Kitty Committee!
On ARC Las Vegas we talked with the experts who tell us what you need to do if you find a litter of kittens. Communications Manager at The Animal Foundation, Kelsey Pizzi, says if you find a litter of kittens their best chance of survival is to leave them with their mom.
In some cases of an emergency like an injury or dangerous situation, like finding a cat on the freeway then that pet needs to be taken in.
Since so many kittens come into The Animal Foundation now through October, volunteer kitten fosters are needed. Feline Programs Manager, Aidana Gonzalez, gave a tutorial on how to care for the small animals.
For more information on how to volunteer or foster, you can go to animalfoundation.com and join the The Itty Bitty Kitty Committee!
