Summer of Love | Fee-Waived Adoption Event

Peace, love… and pets!

Break out the bell-bottoms, dust off your tie-dye, and get ready to meet your grooviest new best friend during our Summer of Love Adoption Event on Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19.

Thanks to the generous support of The Heinrich Family Foundation, adoption fees will be waived for every available dog, cat, puppy, and kitten all weekend long.

Whether you’re looking for a mellow soul to lounge beside you or a free spirit ready for your next adventure, you’ll find plenty of lovable companions waiting to spread the good vibes.

The ’70s may be over, but unconditional love never goes out of style. Come fall in love, save a life, and make this the summer you’ll always remember. Good vibes are the best medicine. Dogtor approved.

About the Adoption Process:

🟣 Visit our adoptions search before coming to the shelter to browse adoptable pets.

🟣 Use the QR code on our adoption lobby door to join the virtual waitlist. The waitlist opens at 8:00 am.

🟣 Please make sure to return by 11 am when the doors open.

🟣 When you arrive, you may browse the adoption area for a pet, or if you have an animal in mind, please note the animal ID# and you’ll be able to speak with an adoption counselor. We do not place holds on pets.

🟣 Please do not bring your current pets for introductions — the shelter environment doesn’t provide an accurate picture of how pets will interact at home.
