Foster a Dog This Fourth of July
Fireworks are one of the busiest times of the year for animal shelters. Every Fourth of July, frightened dogs escape from their homes after being startled by loud noises, and we expect a surge of lost pets to arrive at the shelter in the days surrounding the holiday.
You can help before they even get here.
By fostering one of our larger dogs now, you’ll free up a kennel for a scared, displaced dog that may have nowhere else to go. A single foster home can make the difference between having space available when it’s needed most.
We’re especially looking for fosters who can take home dogs that are 30 pounds or larger and at least six months old. If possible, we’d love for them to stay in your home for 7–14 days to help us through this critical period.
We’ll provide the supplies, medical care, and support—you provide a safe place to land during one of the most stressful weeks of the year.
