Birdie: Best in Show All Stars

Tiny Bird. Massive Main Character Energy.
Birdie’s adoption wasn’t planned. I just saw his pitiful photo on the Animal Foundation’s website and that was that. What he lacks in elegance, he’s made up for in personalit. A LOT of personality. He struts like a tiny, feathered CEO inspecting his company, chest puffed out with unjustified confidence. He coos loudly during the most inconvenient moments, as if delivering important speeches no one asked for. Cat toys are his sworn enemies (or best friends—it’s unclear), and he spends an impressive amount of time arguing with his own reflection.
He has a talent for comedic timing. He’ll dramatically flap across the room for no reason, miss his landing, and then pretend it was intentional. If there’s a high perch, he must sit on it. If there’s a clean surface, he must immediately un-clean it. Personal space? Never heard of it.
Despite his antics, he’s oddly affectionate in his own pigeon way. He’ll follow his human around like a feathery shadow, softly cooing, occasionally offering a gentle peck that feels more like a tiny, awkward kiss. Trust, once earned, is shown through his presence—close, constant, and slightly chaotic.
