Meet Prince, a handsome 5-year-old sweet boy with a majestic presence who is eager to find a place to call home! Having arrived as a stray, this confident, curious boy is ready to turn the page and start his next chapter.
Prince loves to take in his surroundings and watch the world go by. On a leash, he likes to take the lead on walks and remains completely calm and unbothered when other dogs pass by his play yard.
While he can be a bit selective about treats, Prince is polite, not fearful, and already knows how to sit on command even without food rewards! He enjoys human affection and does wonderfully with gentle grooming and coat brushing. This loyal gentleman will make a wonderful companion for an active home.

My Special Considerations
Prince is not adapting well in a kennel at the shelter and is exhibiting barrier frustration towards team members and other stimuli. Prince is very social when he is out of his kennel. He enjoys attention, pet and treats. He does not enjoy being behind a barrier, he shows his teeth, and lunges forward. This dog is working with our training team daily on leash skills, basic obedience, and good manners.This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and kenneling.This animal needs placement by 10/22 at 3 PM.
UPDATE: This animal has shown some improvements and is beginning to respond to interventions provided. The commitment date is being extended to assess if further improvements will be made with intervention. The commitment date is being extended from 10/22 to 10/26
