My Special Considerations
This patient was diagnosed with ringworm and will need to be isolated from other animals through (~8/6). We have started treatment but they would benefit from treatment in a home away from the stresses of the shelter environment; we recommend isolating in a place that is easily disinfected, like a bathroom. Treatment includes daily oral medications and biweekly medicated baths for at least a 3 week period. This condition is contagious to humans and other animals and care will have to be taken to prevent transmission.
