Meet Captain Smek, a reserved and handsome young boy who is ready to find a patient, loving home to call his own. This sweet guy is a little shy in the shelter environment and requires a slow approach on your first meets to help him feel safe and secure.
Captain Smek likes to lead on walks to check out his surroundings, and he has shown some sweet interest in toys, though he is still a little reserved as he adjusts. He does like pets, and once he trusts you, he will show it by leaning his body right against you for some close and comforting companionship.
If you would like to get to know him better outside of the shelter environment, ask staff about our Foster and foster field trip program to give Captain Smek a great break from the kennel. Come meet Captain Smek today.

This pup is being spotlighted for one reason only, time. They have been overlooked in the shelter for far too long, and would love a break from the shelter environment where they can relax and just be a dog. The longer they stay in the shelter, the higher the risk of them deteriorating behaviorally and/or medically. If you'd like to foster or adopt this pup, please come in to meet them!
