My Name Is *JANET WOODS!
Janet Woods is looking for company!
This gorgeous mature girl is a total sweetheart who captured our hearts the moment she arrived. She is a happy soul who lives for human connection and is a true lap dog at heart, loving nothing more than a good cuddle with her favorite people.
Janet Woods is a well-mannered companion who walks well on the leash and already knows the sit command. She is highly motivated by treats and is a social butterfly who loves to meet and greet new people.
This lovely lady has participated in playgroups during her stay. She's a playgroup "greeter," a dog who is great is welcoming news dogs into the mix. She's great at teaching other dogs how to play appropriately and makes sure everyone is having fun!
As always a slow and patient introduction to any pets and family at home is very much encouraged to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe.
She has shown some prey drive towards cats, so she would do best in a home without any feline residents.
Janet Woods is looking for a patient home that understands the importance of a dedicated decompression period. If you think you have the time and heart for a sweet girl like Janet Woods, come and meet her today. Ask staff about the foster field trip and foster programs as a great way to give her a break from the shelter and a chance to get to know her in a home setting.
My Special Considerations
*Janet Woods is exhibiting signs of arousal and anxiety in the shelter environment and is having a hard time adapting. This confident, spunky lady is having a hard time being cooped up all day. She is a playgroup regular with calm dogs. She is great and teaching other dogs how to be more appropriate. This animal would benefit from an environment with less stimulation and some training to help them cope with over arousing stimuli and anxiety.
This pup is being spotlighted for one reason only, time. They have been overlooked in the shelter for far too long, and would love a break from the shelter environment where they can relax and just be a dog. The longer they stay in the shelter, the higher the risk of them deteriorating behaviorally and/or medically. If you'd like to foster or adopt this pup, please come in to meet them!
