My Name Is *RORSCHACH!

Meet Rorschach,

A mellow senior gentleman ready to chill his way into your heart. He is a majestic boy and a total pro on the walk. He is very easy to leash up and handle, walking beautifully by your side. He is the perfect companion for peaceful morning strolls where he can take his time to sniff and explore the world.

This mellow fellow knows how to beat the heat and loves to hop into the kiddie pool to cool off his paws and relax. He is a true gentleman who is not reactive to other dogs, whether he is out on a leash or hanging in the play yard. Rorschach has a calm and steady presence that makes him a joy to be around. He has mastered the art of being chill and is looking for a home where he can enjoy the finer things in life, like good sniffs and a cozy spot to nap.

Rorschach is a loyal, calm, and sweet companion. While he is very easygoing, he still needs a patient home that understands the importance of a dedicated decompression period to help him adjust to a new routine. It is very much encouraged when introducing new pets one must be safe and gradually over time introduced. The shelter pet needs time to decompress and the resident pets need time to accept. This will ensure a successful introduction. With time and love, he will be the most devoted friend you have ever had.

If you think you have the time and patience for a sweet Rorschach and are the perfect home for him, then come and meet Rorschach today. If you think you need more time to decide, ask staff about the foster field trip and foster programs, as it is a great way to give Rorschach a break from the shelter and a chance to get to know him in a home setting.

My Special Considerations

*Rorschach shows dog-selective behaviors, they get along well with some dogs, but not all. They may have preferences about which dogs they are comfortable around and can sometimes struggle to be socially appropriate with certain others. With ongoing training, supervision, and proper introductions, their interactions with other dogs can continue to improve. He is a very sweet boy with staff, he loves to go on walks and does his old man wiggles. He prefers to be alone when interacting with other dogs and can overcorrect and pursue when dogs are in his face. He has started a few scrabbles with no injuries due to his selective behaviors. He needs out of the shelter to be able to decompress. At this time, we recommend a no dog household for Rorschach.
