My Name Is *TRUFFLE BUTTER!
Truffle Butter—who her foster lovingly calls Taffy—is believed to be about one year old, but she has already endured more than any dog should. She was abandoned while pregnant and left to have her babies on the streets. All of her puppies have since found loving homes. Now it’s finally Taffy’s turn.
Because of her past, Taffy is extremely fearful of unfamiliar people and may keep her distance during meet-and-greets. What potential adopters don’t immediately get to see is the dog she becomes once she feels safe: deeply affectionate, incredibly cuddly, playful, and completely devoted to her person. She can happily join you for an active day or curl up beside you on the couch or bed. She is the definition of a Velcro dog.
Taffy doesn’t need someone to “fix” her. She needs a patient, loving family who will allow her to decompress at her own pace without forcing interactions. Once she learns that she is safe, the love and trust she gives in return are truly special.
She has waited patiently while her puppies found their families. Please help us find the kind, understanding forever home Truffle Butter—our sweet Taffy—deserves.
