My Name Is *THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY!
My Special Considerations
*The One that Got Away is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of fear and kennel distress. He shows fearful behaviors here at the shelter but with time and a slow approach, he tolerates handling. He was adopted and returned after 1 week due to growling, barking and attempting to bite the adopter's male partner. The adopter also stated he was inside a crate when the cat would free roam, and he did not react to the cat. During his evaluation, he ignored treats, appeared uncomfortable while walking on leash, and remains tense during handling with male and female team members. He requires a slower approach and time. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes.
