My Special Considerations
This kitten was exposed to a kitten that has tested positive for feline panleukopenia virus. We have treated them with Canine Parvovirus Monoclonal Antibody (CPMA), which is the first and only USDA-conditionally approved, one-dose parvovirus treatment in dogs. This is an off-label use of this treatment, but preliminary studies show that it may decrease the length of time of clinical signs. We have also begun supportive treatments, but this patient would benefit from more direct and intensive care at a full service clinic. Will need supportive care, isolation, and monitoring until approximately 4/17/26 (7 days post CPMA administration).
