My Name Is ATLAS!
Atlas is an estimated 3-year-old boy with a playful spirit and a soft spot for toys—especially plushies. The moment he hits the yard, he’s on a mission to find his favorite toy, proudly parading it around before inviting you into a game of fetch. And yes, he’s the full package—he’ll actually bring the ball back and is more than happy to keep the game going for as long as you are.
He’s a smart cookie, too. Atlas knows how to “sit” (especially when there’s a ball involved) and is very food-motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training. If he gets a little attached to his toy, a tasty treat is usually all it takes to make a fair trade.
Beyond his playful side, Atlas has shown himself to be social, affectionate, and friendly with shelter staff and genuinely enjoys spending time with people. He’s already potty trained and knows how to use a doggy door in his previous home, so he’s got a solid foundation for home life.
Shelter life, however, has been tough on him. Atlas is showing signs of kennel stress and would really benefit from getting back into a calm, stable home where he can relax and be his best self. If you’re looking for a fun, toy-loving companion who’s ready to bond, play, and settle back into home life, Atlas is waiting to meet you.
My Special Considerations
Atlas is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. Atlas was reported to be aggressive by an adopter. However in the shelter he has been friendly with staff and enjoys treats, can be stressed by panting and whining. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
