My Name Is ZUZU!

Meet Zuzu, a sweet senior soul looking for a loving home to spend his golden years.



Zuzu came to the shelter on December 25, 2025, as an owner surrender, and he is ready for a soft place to land. This gentle older boy walks great on the leash, is non reactive to other dogs on his shelter walks, and would make a wonderful companion for slow daily strolls.



Zuzu recently went on a foster field trip and earned an A+. He loves walks, chasing tennis balls, and soaking up hugs and back rubs. He played nicely with neighbor dogs and kids and showed what a kind soul he is. He is very obedient and will not jump on furniture unless invited.

During a foster day, Zuzu showed excellent leash manners and walked calmly while taking in all the smells. He was excited to see another dog but stayed well behaved. He can be a little nervous about car rides with new people and may just need a little extra time to feel comfortable.



Zuzu loves treats, knows sit and lay down, and enjoys chasing a ball, though bringing it back is not his specialty. He is laid back, curious, and happiest soaking up affection.

My Special Considerations

This pup is being spotlighted for one reason only, time. They have been overlooked in the shelter for far too long, and would love a break from the shelter environment where they can relax and just be a dog. The longer they stay in the shelter, the higher the risk of them deteriorating behaviorally and/or medically. If you'd like to foster or adopt this pup, please come in to meet them!
