My Name Is *HAZEL!
Meet Hazel.
She is a radiant lady and a sophisticated explorer who knows her leash manners. She is very easy to leash up and walks great, making her the perfect partner for morning strolls or evening sunset walks. This experienced girl is looking for a permanent retirement home where she can truly shine.
Don't let her age fool you—Hazel still knows how to have a blast. She absolutely loves water and is always up for some aquatic fun. She is also a fan of the flirt pole and loves a good chase. Hazel is a clever girl who is very treat-motivated and already knows how to sit and give paw. When other dogs pass by, she gets very excited, and squeaky toys are the best way to keep her focus.
Hazel is a loyal, fun-loving, and sweet companion. Coming back to the shelter can be a big transition for a senior, so she is looking for a patient home that understands the importance of a dedicated decompression period. It is very much encouraged when introducing new pets one must be safe and gradually over time introduce. The shelter pet needs time to decompress and the resident pets need time to accept. This will ensure a successful introduction.
If you think you have the time and patience for a sweet Hazel and are the perfect home for her, then come and meet Hazel today. If you think you need more time to decide, ask staff about the foster field trip and foster programs, as it is a great way to give Hazel a break from the shelter and a chance to get to know her in a home setting.
