My Name Is SMURK!
Come and meet Smurk—an active and energetic boy who’s ready to find his forever family! Smurk is about 4 years old, weighs 56 lbs, and is already neutered, which means he can go home with you right away.
He was previously adopted, and his former family shared that he did wonderfully with the kids in the home. Unfortunately, the match didn’t work out because the other dog in the house was too hyper for Smurk. They also told us that Smurk is crate trained and knows some commands.
Here at the shelter, we’ve seen that he knows “sit” and “give paw.” He’s very treat motivated, loves to chase the ball, and is eager to learn. Smurk is looking for a home that will give him the time, patience, and structure he needs for training and decompression.

My Special Considerations
This pup is being spotlighted for one reason only, time. They have been overlooked in the shelter for far too long, and would love a break from the shelter environment where they can relax and just be a dog. The longer they stay in the shelter, the higher the risk of them deteriorating behaviorally and/or medically. If you'd like to foster or adopt this pup, please come in to meet them!
