She can be a little shy and apprehensive at first, so she appreciates a gentle, slow approach when getting to know new friends. Once she feels comfortable, her loving personality shines through, and she truly enjoys gentle pets and affection. Buttercup is treat-motivated and responds wonderfully to human direction, already knowing the come command! While she gets excited when seeing other dogs pass by, she is eager to listen to her handler.

"Buttercup is an absolute love bug. She might be a bit shy and timid initially, but then she warms up quickly and is all cuddles. She will bury her face in your neck and give kisses. On leash, she stays close by your side and needs you to lead. She’s a young, curious pup who’s taking it all in during walks - the sights, smells, sounds - and every so often she will lean her side on your leg as you walk. Such a sweetheart! Buttercup is clearly searching for someone to adore, and with loving guidance will be your most loyal and loving best friend. What an amazing girl. "
My Special Considerations
This pup is being spotlighted for one reason only, time. They have been overlooked in the shelter for far too long, and would love a break from the shelter environment where they can relax and just be a dog. The longer they stay in the shelter, the higher the risk of them deteriorating behaviorally and/or medically. If you'd like to foster or adopt this pup, please come in to meet them!
