Kira the Wonder Pup is ready to trade the shelter for a couch, a family, and a second chance.
This sweet girl is affectionate, curious, and confident enough to entertain herself when needed. She loves exploring her surroundings, playing with balls and rope toys, then settling in for a well-earned nap. House-trained and crate-trained, Kira already knows the routines of family life. She may know basic commands in Spanish and is a smart girl who’s ready to learn everything you want to teach her!
Kira has lived with children of all ages and was described by her previous family as active, protective, and loving. She’ll happily spend time with her people but also has an independent streak that makes her an easy companion.
Fireworks aren’t her favorite, and she prefers not to have her ears or paws fussed with, but otherwise Kira is ready to share her big heart with a family of her own. She’s waited long enough—now she just needs someone to choose her.

My Special Considerations
Kira is not adapting well in a kennel at the shelter and is exhibiting barrier frustration towards team members and other stimuli. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and kenneling. This animal needs placement by 9/20 at 3 PM.
