The Animal Foundation makes a difference in the Las Vegas community by saving the lives of more than 20,000 lost, abandoned, and homeless animals annually.
This was made possible by the combination of individual talent and great teamwork, which is why one of our most important investments is our team members.
Become part of our “All of Us for All of Them” initiative!
At the Animal Foundation, you will work for one of the largest single-site animal shelters in America with some of the country’s most talented animal health, welfare, and business professionals. Together, we are shaping the future of animal welfare in the Las Vegas valley and working to save all healthy and treatable animals who come into our care.
We are seeking candidates who are solution-driven, demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills and have the ability to work both in a team environment and independently with a high degree of integrity and accountability. Right now, we have an urgent need for veterinary professionals, including:
- Veterinary Assistants
- Veterinarians
- Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT)
- Licensed Veterinary Technicians in Training (LVTIT)
If you are flexible, compassionate toward both people and animals, and are driven to consistently do your best, you may have what it takes to become a team member at The Animal Foundation.
Our Core Values
- The Power of ONE. Both individual talent and great teamwork are essential to our success. Each of us is an important member of ONE team with ONE mission. It’s about the entire organization. Think and act as ONE team.
- 360° Compassion. We are compassionate toward animals, fellow team members, patrons, our partners, and ourselves. This is easy if you remember The Golden Retriever Rule: Do unto others as you would do unto your pets.
- Blessed Are the Flexible, for They Will Not Be Bent Out of Shape. Charles Darwin said, “The most important factor in survival is neither intelligence or strength, but adaptability.” We believe that to thrive we must be flexible. At the Animal Foundation, this means being willing, open-minded, adaptable, and resilient.
- Communication Is Not a 2-Way Street, It’s a 6-Lane Highway. There is no such thing as over-communicating. Every team member needs to be able to make informed decisions. It is everyone’s responsibility to consciously engage in effective communications.
- Be the Solution. We each embrace and own challenges, collaborating with others and seeking creative solutions, while always keeping the big picture in mind. We are solution-driven.
- Unleash the Potential. We are a diverse group of talented individuals. We seek and provide opportunities to challenge and stretch ourselves and each other, pursuing both personal growth and the Animal Foundation’s mission. We unleash potential through experiences, learning from each other, self-development, and training.
- Our Best Is Only as Good as My Best. I am The Animal Foundation: my attitude, how well I perform my job, my appearance, my interactions with others all reflect on the organization. The success of The Animal Foundation is based on my ability to consistently “be my best me.”
