Keep Every Person and Pet Together (KEPPT)

Life happens. Whether it’s a financial emergency, a medical crisis, or a behavior issue, we understand that pet ownership isn’t always easy. That’s why The Animal Foundation created KEPPT (Keep Every Person and Pet Together)—a comprehensive support program designed to help pet owners overcome challenges and keep pets right where they belong: at home.

By offering free or low-cost resources to those in need, KEPPT works to prevent pet surrender, reduce shelter intake, and protect the powerful bond between people and their animals.

What KEPPT Offers

KEPPT includes a variety of services and support programs for Las Vegas pet owners, all aimed at helping families stay together through difficult times.

Pet Food Pantry

No pet should go hungry. Our Community Pet Food Pantry provides free pet food, treats, and enrichment items to pet owners in need.

Pet Medical Assistance

Unexpected veterinary bills can be overwhelming. Through grants and community support, KEPPT offers financial assistance for urgent vet care to qualifying pet owners in Las Vegas.

Other Pet Resources

Behavior issues are one of the most common reasons pets are surrendered to shelters. Our Bark to Basics Bootcamp is a low-cost dog training class taught by certified professional dog trainers. This 5-week course covers foundational skills like sit, stay, come, and leash manners—all using positive reinforcement methods.

Rehoming Support

When keeping your pet is no longer possible, we’re here to help you safely rehome your pet outside of the shelter system. Through self-rehoming tools, courtesy posts, and guidance, we can help you find a new loving home while minimizing stress for your pet.

Why KEPPT Matters

Every pet deserves the chance to stay with the family that loves them. By providing accessible support and resources, KEPPT helps reduce unnecessary shelter intake, ease overcrowding, and keep more pets where they thrive: at home.

If you’re struggling, know this: you’re not alone—and you don’t have to face it without help.
