My Special Considerations

This kitten has tested positive or was highly exposed to feline panleukopenia virus. We have treated them with Canine Parvovirus Monoclonal Antibody (CPMA), which is the first and only USDA-conditionally approved, one-dose parvovirus treatment in dogs. This is an off-label use of this treatment, but preliminary studies show that it may decrease the length of time of clinical signs. We have also begun supportive treatments, but this patient would benefit from more direct and intensive care at a full service clinic. Will need supportive care, isolation, and monitoring until approximately 05/21 (7 days post CPMA administration). Placement needed by 5/15 at 3pm.
