My Name Is OTIS!
Otis is a 10-year-old neutered male who was surrendered by the only family he’s ever known, and it’s clear this sweet senior spent his life in a home where he was loved. He’s potty trained, knows several commands, and has the calm, well-mannered personality of a dog who understands how to be a wonderful companion.
This big fluffy teddy bear absolutely loves attention and being pet. He’s also still got a playful side — especially when squeaky toys are involved. Otis will even gently paw at you when he wants another toss of the ball, which is about as adorable as it sounds.
Otis enjoys his walks and loves taking his time sniffing and exploring the world around him. He could benefit from losing a little weight, so having a walking buddy would be perfect for him. Despite being an older guy, he still seems excited to get out and enjoy life.
When other respectful dogs walked past the play yard, Otis stayed calm and simply sniffed in their direction. He previously lived with both a large dog and a small dog, suggesting he may do well with the right canine companions again. But please make sure you conduct slow and proper introductions.
Otis seems like the kind of dog who would thrive in a quieter home where he can settle in, enjoy his toys, go on relaxing strolls, and spend plenty of time close to his people. He’s sweet, gentle, and ready to be someone’s loyal best friend all over again.
