My Name Is *PEPPERMINT MOCHA!
Introducing our special feline friend, a cat with boundless potential and a heart full of love, who happens to be ringworm positive.
This cat may have a temporary skin condition, but that in no way defines who they are.
Ringworm is a treatable condition, and this cat is on the path to recovery. With proper care, you can help them return to their full health. They are a reminder that a little patience, care, and love can transform a cat's life, and in return, they will offer you endless affection and companionship.
If you are ready to make a positive impact on the life of a cat like them, they are eager to find a forever home where they can thrive and bring happiness to the lives of their new family. Adopting a ringworm-positive cat is an act of kindness and compassion, and you'll be rewarded with a loyal and loving companion who will fill your life with joy and purrs of gratitude.
Caring for a Pet with Ringworm
My Special Considerations
This patient was diagnosed with ringworm and will need to be isolated from other animals through 5/25/26. We have started treatment but they would benefit from treatment in a home away from the stresses of the shelter environment; we recommend isolating in a place that is easily disinfected, like a bathroom. Treatment includes daily oral medications and biweekly medicated baths for at least a 3 week period. This condition is contagious to humans and other animals and care will have to be taken to prevent transmission.
