This sweet fellow is already a confirmed potty dog, which is a fantastic head start for transitioning into a new household routine. He is a naturally cheerful pup whose happy demeanor is contagious to everyone he meets.
On his walks, Dusty is an enthusiastic partner who likes to lead the way and explore his surroundings with youthful energy. When it comes to other dogs, he is cordial at the fence line, though he can be selectively reactive to certain dogs, meaning he appreciates a handler who can help guide his focus. Dusty is very smart and highly motivated by treats; he already knows the "sit" command perfectly and is currently working hard on mastering "lay down."
As he moves into his new home, Dusty will benefit from an active and patient family that understands the importance of a dedicated decompression period combined with ongoing training and exercise. This dog was diagnosed with an infectious respiratory disease and needs to be isolated from other dogs through 6/20/26 while being treated.
Since this dog is contagious to other dogs, they are not eligible for meet and greets but they are still available for adoption and foster!
