My Name Is BROADY!
Broady is a handsome senior gentleman who is ready to leave the shelter life behind and start a beautiful new chapter. This distinguished boy is a confirmed potty dog who is very respectful of his kennel; he knows exactly why he’s outside and takes care of his business right away!
He is a strong, healthy boy who loves his time outdoors and enjoys leading the way on his walks with confidence. Broady is a scholar at heart and is eager to show off his skills—he already knows "sit" and "give paw," and he is currently a dedicated work in progress on learning "lay down." He is a true gentleman when out and about, remaining very polite and cordial whenever other dogs pass by.
As he transitions into a new home, Broady will benefit from a patient family that understands the importance of a dedicated decompression period. If you are looking for a well-mannered, smart, and loyal companion to spend your days with, come and meet Broady today. Ask staff about our foster field trip and foster programs as a great way to see how he thrives in a home environment.
My Special Considerations
Broady is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. Broady is a sweet and energetic old man who is not doing well here. He is now destroying his wall in his kennel due to his stress and causing self injury. Once out of the kennel he loves to play, take treats, and gets lots of pets. He needs a quieter and calmer place to be able to decompress and relax. He was moved to a quieter area and he is showing improvement, but would still benefit from a place to decompress and show his true colors. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation. This animal needs placement by 6/4 at 3 PM.
UPDATE: This animal has shown some improvements and is beginning to respond to interventions provided. The commitment date is being extended to assess if further improvements will be made with intervention. The commitment date is being extended from (6/3/26) to (6/4/26).
